Government of Alberta – International Development Grants

The Government of Alberta, through the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, has programs, services, and grants for the province’s nonprofit/charitable sector to access. Its international development grants encourage Albertans to make a difference in the world so that people in developing countries can eventually become self-sufficient.

To apply for an international development grant from the Province, you must be a small- to mid-sized organization based in Alberta and non-governmental. The types of projects assisted include those focused on food production and livelihood, construction, sanitation and hygiene, education and awareness, immunization and health, and micro-financing and sustainability.
