Our donors work hard to generate the money they donate, so stewarding it responsibly is a priority. Stewardship is based on integrity, trust, and the judicious and careful use of every dollar. We need good partners to ensure we are getting the most from the generous donations we receive, and we leverage the resources and money we raise by partnering with organizations and individuals.
As a humanitarian aid organization, the most important questions we ask are: “Who will be our partner? Who will be the agent on the ground? Who will do the day-to-day management of our benefactors’ money— whether it comes from the Canadian government or someone who gives $20 at a charity auction?” We work with partners we trust and ensure they are transparent and accountable.
